Time Traveler Maps was created in 1995 by Frank Lister. The son of noted archaeologists and writers, Bob and Florence Lister, Frank was raised in field camps from the Sahara to Mexico and the American southwest.

His life experiences include assistant cartographer on the Aswan Dam Project along the Nile in Africa; project director for the development of the Ute Mountain Tribal Park in southwestern Colorado; park planner for national parks in Paraguay as a Smithsonian/Peace Corps volunteer; and a pioneer in the mountain bike industry with his touring company, Detours.

Today Lister is assembling a team of experts to produce new and unique thematic maps and related materials. His goal is to take maps back into the realm of fine art, while developing new educational tools and related materials.
