The 24" x 36" image of the Navajo's traditional homeland is designed to be used as a tool in the teaching of the Navajo language and to help preserve the Diné culture by generating stories between generations.

Navajo place names are of a general nature and ceremonial names are commonly not used.

Graphic embellishment is done by nationally awarded artist, Clifford Brycelea.

This image was originally published and distributed around the Navajo Nation and developed a dialog among the Diné people about their place names, their spellings and meanings.
